The Third Sector struggles, like everywhere else, with problems in their long term vision and the implementation. The trustee boards of charities often have deep-seated issues which can only be resolved with some serious inward thinking - usually more effective when well facilitated. Many of the associates of Ann Paul Associates have experience in working with trustee boards and senior management teams

WORKING WITH BOARDS

 

The voluntary and community sector had grown over the past few years and very often the trustee boards have simply stretched to accommodate this growth, rather than identify significant skills gaps or conflicts of trustee interest.

 

Ann has worked with a number of boards to help them to identify areas for development and then formulate the necessary action to work towards excellences for their charities.

 

With the combination of skills that the association has, we are able to deliver trustee development and training in the following broad areas of operation:

 

"              Board composition and skills audit

"              Conflict management

"              Relationship development with Chief Executives

"              The role trustees can and must play in the income generation for their organisation

 

 

  DEVELOPING ORGANSATIONAL STRATEGIES

All of the associates in Ann Paul Associates Limited have worked at board level themselves in voluntary or non-profit organisations.  We are able to fill the need of external facilitation at away-days, board meetings and consultation process needed to formulate a corporate strategy.

 

Ann worked with Stop the Traffik in two separate ways - a strategy for the International Board was needed so that the individual country boards would easily sit within the new International strategy.  Ann also delivered an income generation strategy and workshops (see below)
